Palm House Series

Inspired by a recent visit to Kew Gardens, I have created a series of Palm House mini prints. Screen printed using multi-layered, hand-cut paper stencils, the prints measure 4" x 4". Working to this scale is challenging!  I love the architectural quality of the plants, set against the impressive Victorian iron and glass structure. The Palm House at Kew was built in the 1840s, and is one of the world’s most important surviving structures of its kind. It’s absolutely beautiful.

Archive Edition

As an artist who creates small hand-printed editions, over the years I have developed a routine of keeping one of each of my editions for my personal archive. This has been a lovely way for me to remember, keep track of my work, and watch it change over time. Over the last 30 years, I’ve accumulated many! It feels like time to say goodbye to some of them.
